Project School and Trainings of Trainers are over

Within the framework of the project Development of Local Self-Organization and Civic Engagement in Ukraine, two powerful training programs, taking place from April to May this year, have finished. 

17 participants were selected for the training program Training of Trainers out of 34 applications. Thus, the result of the TOT was the graduation of 17 certified mentors-trainers who were able to continue cooperation with Caritas-Spes in a new status.

A trainers team was formed from the graduates of the TOT in 2020 and 2021 to work in diocesan centers. Their main task was to train, advise, organize and conduct trainings and plan activities, as well as social action projects to intensify work in communities. Caritas-Spes Ukraine expects strong and accurate social action projects developed under the mentors' guidance.

More than 35 applications were received for participation in the Project School this year. 20 participants successfully reached the finish line of the training program.

The Social Action Project Ideas Contest is currently underway. We have already received more than 20 applications for the Ideas Competition. Teamed up with the participants and mentors, we are carefully preparing for the pitching, which will take place in mid-June and early July.  The best projects will receive grant support for the initiatives implementation.   

In general, the Project School brought together participants from Kyiv-Zhytomyr, Kharkiv-Zaporizhzhia, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Lutsk, Odesa-Simferopol dioceses and Lviv Archdiocese. Caritas-Spes Ukraine is proud of the training programs participants who will become a driving force for change in their communities.
