Within the framework of the Veteran’s Family project, Melissa Søvik, Regional Representative of Caritas Norway in Ukraine and Moldova, conducted a monitoring visit. Our partner had the opportunity to learn more about the program and personally communicate with its participants.

A particularly touching moment was a group psychological session with the project specialists. Following the exercises, veterans shared their stories one by one, leaving a deep impression on everyone. For our colleague from Norway, it was an opportunity to see how the project supports families during challenging times.

In addition, Melissa Søvik visited our dedicated space for children of veterans, where the little ones can play, learn, and spend time together. During the visit, the children enthusiastically presented the cities they came from and shared their hobbies and dreams.

These meetings are a reminder that assistance is, above all, about being present and creating spaces where everyone feels support and protection.

The Veteran’s Family project brings together veterans’ families through rehabilitation camps for all family members, providing them with a safe space for psychological support and personal recovery.

The initiative is implemented with the support of Caritas Norway and Caritas-Spes Ukraine.
