«Caritas-Spes» Religious Mission of Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine is one of 48 members of Caritas Europa Federation and a member of Caritas Internationalis - a global confederation of 162 Catholic organizations. In Ukraine, the Mission operates in all regions, with a National Office and seven regional branches operating in each diocese of the Roman Catholic Church. On December 29, 2023, the charitable foundation Caritas-Spes Ukraine was established to expand social activities and increase the capacity to assist people.

«Caritas-Spes Ukraine» promotes social justice by popularizing Christian charity. Our activities are aimed at: overcoming poverty, establishing justice and restoring human dignity, regardless of religion, skin color, nationality, political or ideological beliefs.

We work in unity with the Catholic Church and with other religions, governments, and civil society to defend human dignity, rights and responsibilities, and the common good.

We view development as a holistic process—encompassing the spiritual, psychological, emotional, physical, material, and economic elements of the human person in the context of family and society.

United in one human family, we deeply sympathize with the suffering of others. It is our moral duty to realize the humanitarian call to help every person.

In response to the Gospel of Christ, we have chosen the path of accompanying the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed. We fight against the humiliating poverty that robs them of dignity and humanity.

We respect religious traditions, culture and customs that uphold the dignity of the individual. We work in solidarity with the poor and marginalized, achieving peace, justice and human development.
