Caritas-Spes Ukraine launches the project "Strengthening local self-organization and community activity in Ukraine". This is a nationwide program that aims to help communities create social change on the ground. As part of the training, participants will acquire all the necessary knowledge and skills to implement their own social projects and initiatives in accordance with the needs of the community.
The program will start in early February this year and will consist of several stages. Representatives of the charitable organization Caritas-Spes Ukraine will be the first to start their training in the program "Management of Social Innovations". Local coordinators from different regions of Ukraine will learn to identify areas of their own influence during two training modules, and gain practical skills to work with the community and its needs. The purpose of this stage is to teach participants project management and provide all the necessary knowledge to implement changes from below.
At the same time, the Summer School of Social Change starts its work, where the ideas of social change prороsed by the participants will be presented, the best initiatives will receive support and experts guide to implement their own ideas, and next year will be able to compete in the micro-grant competition. The creators of the best ideas of social projects will receive UAH 20,000 to implement their ideas.
The final stage of the project each year will be the Forum of Social Initiatives - an event on social justice and charitable activities in the framework of social projects. The purpose of the forum is to form a common vision of community development, to increase the level of motivation for community self-organization by highlighting the quality results of projects and initiatives on the ground, and to form a community of socially active parishioners.
