AGRO — Support for Agricultural Households in Mykolaiv and Kherson Oblasts

The project is implemented with the financial support of Caritas Spain.

Project geography: Mykolaiv and Kherson Oblasts.

Implementation period: 1.10.2025 - 30.09.2027

The AGRO project provides grant support to households affected by the war to develop agriculture, livestock farming, and improve livestock housing conditions.

Project goal:

To strengthen food security and economic resilience of households in Mykolaiv and Kherson Oblasts through financial support for agricultural development and livestock farming.

Project objectives:

  • Restoration of agricultural activities of affected households;
  • Development of small-scale livestock farming and ensuring proper livestock keeping conditions;
  • Improvement of economic resilience and household incomes;
  • Contribution to food security in the region.

Types of assistance:

  • Grant of up to UAH 55,000 for agricultural development (seeds, tools, irrigation);
  • Grant of up to UAH 65,000 for livestock development (feed, veterinary services, equipment);
  • Support for the repair or construction of facilities for livestock keeping.

How to access assistance:

1. Check eligibility criteria
Priority is given to internally displaced persons (IDPs), low-income families, war-affected households, and those who have not previously received similar assistance.

2. Submit an application
Complete the form and attach the required documents: passport, tax ID, bank details, IDP certificate, and income information. Indicate the budget and plan for the use of the grant.

3. Receive the decision and implement the plan
The selection committee will review the application and inform you of the result. If approved, an agreement is signed, and the grant is used in accordance with the plan. The project team provides consultations and conducts monitoring.

Participant selection criteria:

Households that meet the following conditions are eligible to apply for the project.

Main requirements:

  • Households residing in Mykolaiv or Kherson Oblasts;
  • War-affected households;
  • Households with experience in agriculture or livestock farming;
  • Willingness to independently implement the project.

Priority categories:

  • Households in war-affected areas;
  • Households that have not previously received similar assistance;
  • Individuals living in damaged or uninhabitable housing;
  • Households with low income;
  • Large families (3+ children);
  • Persons with disabilities or households including them;
  • Single-provider households;
  • Pregnant women or families with young children;
  • Elderly people (50+).

Important: One grant is provided per household; repeated applications from the same family will not be considered.
