AGRO — Enhancing Food Security and Economic Resilience for Affected Households

Implementation period: 1.02.2026 - 30.04.2026

The AGRO project provides financial assistance to households affected by the war to restore agricultural activities and support small-scale livestock farming in Volyn Oblast.

Project goal:

To enhance food security and economic resilience of households affected by the war.

Project objectives:

  • To support war-affected households in restoring agricultural activities;
  • To promote the development of small-scale livestock farming and agricultural production;
  • To improve household food security;
  • To strengthen economic resilience and income sources of vulnerable families in Volyn Oblast.

Types of assistance:

  • Cash assistance for agricultural development: up to UAH 55,000 for the purchase of seeds, tools, and irrigation;
  • Cash assistance for livestock farming: up to UAH 65,000 for the purchase of feed, veterinary services, and equipment for animal care.

The assistance includes:

  • Procurement of seeds, fertilizers, feed, and livestock;
  • Improvement of irrigation systems, repair or replacement of damaged agricultural equipment;
  • Rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructure, including warehouses, storage facilities, and barns.

How to apply:

1. Check eligibility criteria
Priority is given to internally displaced households, low-income families, and those affected by the war.

2. Submit an application
Complete the form and attach the required documents (passport, tax ID, bank details, and, if applicable, documents confirming IDP status and income). The application must also include a budget for agricultural or livestock development.

3. Receive the decision and implement the plan
After reviewing the applications, the selection committee will inform applicants of the results. If approved, you will sign an agreement and use the assistance in accordance with the submitted plan.

Participant selection criteria:

Households that meet the following conditions are eligible to apply for the project.

Main requirements:

  • Households residing in Volyn Oblast;
  • Internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by the war;
  • Households with experience in agriculture or livestock farming;
  • Willingness to independently implement the proposed project.

Priority categories:

  • Internally displaced households affected by the war;
  • Households that have not previously received similar assistance;
  • Households living in damaged or uninhabitable housing;
  • Households with low income;
  • Large households (three or more children);
  • Households that include persons with disabilities;
  • Single-provider households;
  • Households with pregnant women or children under 3 years old;
  • Households with elderly persons (50+).

Important: One grant is provided per household; repeated applications from the same family will not be considered.
