Emergency Support for war-affected IDPs and residents in Kharkiv region, Eastern Ukraine

The intervention combines two delivery modalities:

  • daily home delivery of hot meals to 93 vulnerable individuals, including internally displaced persons and persons with disabilities;
  • daily distribution of meals at the centre for 27 beneficiaries, ensuring safe and accessible access to food assistance.

Activity 1: Distribution of hot meals and warm drinks through home delivery

Highly vulnerable individuals, including internally displaced persons and persons with disabilities, receive daily hot meals and warm drinks through a structured home delivery system. A total of 12,090 meals will be provided to 93 unique individuals over a period of 130 days, ensuring regular and predictable access to food for those with limited mobility and access constraints.

The delivery system is supported by daily tracking of distributions, stock management, and regular monitoring to ensure quality, accountability, and timely service provision.

Activity 2: Distribution of hot meals and warm drinks at the centre

Crisis-affected individuals, primarily internally displaced persons, receive daily hot meals and warm drinks at the Caritas-Spes Kharkiv centre in a safe, dignified, and accessible manner. A total of 3,510 meals will be provided to 27 unique individuals over 130 days, ensuring continued access to basic food assistance.

Distribution at the centre is accompanied by daily attendance tracking, stock control, and monitoring of service delivery.
