Project «Social and Cultural Development of Children from Remote Villages in Zhytomyr Region»
The project aimed to support the socialization and development of children from remote villages in the Zhytomyr region through a series of one-day interactive field trips. The program included educational games, creative tasks, and thematic lectures that allowed children to grow, explore new ideas, build self-confidence, and develop communication with peers.
Duration: March 9 – May 25, 2024 2.5 months (6 one-day field trips)
Beneficiaries:
25 children aged 8–12 Categories: children from large families, families in difficult life circumstances, and internally displaced persons (IDPs)
Volunteer Team:
Caritas-Spes Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese (Zhytomyr)
Results:
- The number of participants increased from 15 to 25 children
- Improved emotional well-being of children
- A safe space was created for communication and development
- Increased levels of social skills and trust among participants
