Volunteer Team of Caritas-Spes Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese
Our volunteer team is a community of active and compassionate young people who help those facing difficult life circumstances. We bring joy and support to children and the elderly by organizing various events, outings, and activities.
Main Areas of Our Activity:
- Outreach visits to children in Zhytomyr region to provide support, learning, and meaningful communication
- Visiting the elderly to create warm intergenerational meetings;
- Hosting workshops, interactive games, and themed activities
The team was born from a small group of friends who met at the camp “Youth – A Hope for Change.” There, we learned a lot and felt a deep inner calling — to be helpful and share kindness.
Our first steps included assisting at warehouses with packaging humanitarian aid for IDPs and organizing an event for the youth of Zhytomyr. Later, we decided to launch a project with outreach visits to children in the Zhytomyr region. Seeing sincere smiles on their faces, we understood: this is our mission.
Since then, we have been growing our team by inviting friends and like-minded people who also felt the desire to do good. Our team keeps expanding — along with our belief in the power of support, sincerity, and the small acts of kindness that can change the world around us.

- Visiting elderly internally displaced persons
- Workshop on creating 3D paintings from plaster for youth in Zhytomyr
- Social and cultural development of children from IDP, low-income, and large families in Zhytomyr region
- Team-building activities for volunteers
- Volunteer training on communication with the elderly
